TERM 3 - 2009 Underway

Thursday, 30 July 2009 12:00 Aristotelis Administration

Another term, Term 3, gets underway this week at all Aristotelis locations, commencing at Roselea Public School and operating every Wednesday from 3.50 to 5.50pm.

On Thursdays the Manly location commences lessons and on Fridays at Strathfield North from 4.30 to 6.45pm. On Saturdays our host school is West Ryde Public School where three classes are operating from 10.30am to 1.00pm. Due to longer periods of instruction, students at West Ryde enjoy a new “lesson” named Cultural Perspectives during the last half hour of school.

The teachers at the W. Ryde location have worked extremely hard to prepare material pertaining to all aspects of Greek Culture including some Greek dancing. The material is carefully selected, easy to read and follow with aspect from Ancient and contemporary Greece.

Prior to Term 3 break, all teachers at W. Ryde run an extremely successful Greek Food Day to expose the students to traditional Greek foods and tastes, teach them the names of various dishes and basically steer away from this “souvlaki” perspective.

Well done to all teachers and let’s make it better in the second part of the year.
