Parents and Students are invited to a documentary screening on the 20 May. Dear Parents and Guardians,

We take great pleasure in advising you that your school, “Aristotelis” in conjunction with the parent organisation, the Hellenic Centre for Language & Culture of Australia Inc. is organizing the first cultural event for both students and parents.

The Nineteenth of May marks the sad anniversary of the Pontian Genocide and the catastrophe sustained by the Greeks in Asia Minor .

To this end, and in line with the school’s philosophy in promoting the History and Culture of the Hellenic people, the HECLCA (Hellenic Centre for Language & Culture of Australia Inc.) has compiled a short documentary about the decimation of the Greeks in Asia Minor , which will be shown to the students this Friday afternoon.

All students will attend their regular lessons until 5.15 and will then make their way to the School Hall for the presentation.

There shall be a brief introduction to the documentary, in both Greek and English for the benefit of both students and parents. The documentary bears subtitles in English.

Therefore, we take this opportunity to invite all parents and guardians, regardless of the location that their children are taught the Greek Language and Culture, to join us on this occasion.

When : 20 th May 2005

Time : 5.30 to 6.45pm

Where : The Hall of Strathfield North Primary School, 251 Concord Road , Concord .
